Welcome to the New Bus Stop Club Website!

Our organization was started in 2005 and officially became a not-for-profit agency in April of 2009.  We provide a wonderful opportunity for siblings of children with chronic illness or special needs to go under the care and supervision of staff and to get the support they need to help overcome the everyday battles they are faced with.

Many times, siblings face problems at home and at school that go unnoticed because their brother or sister has been diagnosed with a physical or mental disability, requiring much of the parents’ attention.

 Providing a safe and fun environment  allows each member to express  themselves, and more importantly, just be kids!  So, “Hop On Board” and  join The Bus Stop Club.

 Caring for a loved one who has been diagnosed with a chronic physical or mental illness has an impact upon the entire family.  Siblings of individuals with a chronic illness face the challenges of coping with the diagnosis, understanding the illness and what it means for their siblings, and adjusting their daily routine according to the new needs of their siblings.  Thus, they often may feel that their needs are less important and they sometimes find themselves facing emotions of confusion, fear jealousy, anxiety, helplessness and anger.
